A Trip to Hill Aerospace Museum JAN 23

We decided for Civil Rights Day we would go to the Hill Aerospace Museum. Carson loves to learn about aircrafts. We hoped this would fill his interrest for a while. (Once again - here's Aubree pulling out her hair bows...AAARRRRGGG!!!)

We had our cousins (Joey, Jessica, Jarod, and Jaden meet us at Hilltop. Since they live close to the museum, they go a lot. We knew they would make great tour guides (and fun companions!)

Carson learned a lot more than just airplanes. He learned a lot about our nations history during time of war. He gained such an appreciation for the men that fought and died. He was so amazed to find out that each plane and helicopter serve a different purpose (and the different sizes were amazing!) Did you know that the military used the Navaho language in their code because it was not a written language and would be impossible for the enemy to decode?

At Hill - there are some awesome "Hands on" activites for kids. They get to wear uniforms, play on airplane simulators, watch how engines function and much more. It was a great time. Dad really loved all the history and read just about every informational board available. Of course we couldn't walk out of there without a souveniour of some kind. We of course came home with toy airplanes!
