Pink Eye and Flu

You know, life can be pretty rough for little ones when they get sick. Last year in 2008 I thought my life was coming to an end when all three of my kids including myself and DH were sick so much. We had strep at least twice, "A" was hospitalized for a week with RSV, "W" was also hospitalized for RSV, "C" had tonsils removed, missed about 21 days of school from flu or illness' we always had the throw up flu. I never saw the end! It was relentless for about eight months. I kept thinking what in the world is wrong???? We ate healthy and had vitamins everyday. Then I realized my little ones had not been exposed to very much until I started volunteering at the elementary school. I took the girls with me every time. Bingo!

Well, this year, we have been blessed with little or no illness. Basically, they built a resistance. We all have great health (even I feel better than I had in years).

However, "W" and "A" both caught a stomach flu and pink eye this week. I'll take a flu once but I hope I never repeat last year ever again. I think the Lord has truly blessed our health (probably because I pray for it every single day!!!)

I spared you the details of showing the true colors of "W's" pink eyes. I took a picture because she is the most positive kid ever. She is hardly ever sad about anything. Gosh, what an example she is to me! I love you girls!
